This Privacy Policy explains how we handle and protect your information when you use our mobile game application, Bible Trivia (the "Game"). The Game provides Bible quiz challenges, scripture reading, and spiritual learning through interactive gameplay.

1. Data Processing Overview

The following describes how data is processed when you use the Game:

a. User-Generated Content

• Game Progress & Statistics: The Game tracks your quiz performance, levels completed, coins earned, rankings, and overall game statistics. This data is stored locally on your device to personalize your gaming experience.
• Leaderboard Participation: When you play the game, your username, total coin balance, country, and profile picture are automatically submitted to our global leaderboard. This information is stored in Firebase Firestore and may be visible to all players worldwide. You can control your leaderboard visibility by:
  • Choosing your username (avoid using real names for privacy)
  • Selecting your country (optional, can be set to "Not Set")
  • Choosing a profile picture (optional, generic avatar is default)
• User Profile: You can create a profile with username, nickname, and profile picture. This information is stored locally on your device and is also used for leaderboard identification when you participate in global rankings.
• Profile Pictures: If you choose to upload a profile picture, the image is converted to Base64 format and stored locally on your device. If you participate in the leaderboard, this image may be visible to other players.
• Game Settings: Your preferences for sound effects, background music, and notifications are stored locally.
• Feedback: If you submit feedback through the Game, we may receive your email address and feedback content when you choose to submit via email.

b. Third-Party Data Processing

• Leaderboard & Cloud Storage: Our game uses Firebase Firestore to store and manage leaderboard data. This includes:
  • Public Leaderboard Data: When you participate in the leaderboard, your username, total coins earned, country, and profile picture (if selected) are stored securely on Firebase servers and may be visible to other players.
  • User Identification: A unique anonymous user ID is generated to associate your game progress with your leaderboard entries.
  • Last Active Time: Timestamps are recorded to maintain leaderboard freshness and determine monthly rankings.
• Analytics Services: Our game uses Firebase Analytics which may collect anonymized data about how you interact with the Game. This includes information such as which features you use, session duration, and gameplay patterns. This data does not identify you personally and is used to improve the Game's performance.
• Crash Reporting Services: Our game uses Firebase Crashlytics which may collect anonymized data about game crashes and performance issues. This may include device information and crash logs to help diagnose and fix issues.
• Advertising Services: The Game uses Google AdMob, Unity Ads, Vungle, and Facebook Audience Network to display ads. These advertising services independently collect anonymized data, such as device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID), IP address, and general location data, to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.

c. Game Permissions

The Game requests the following permissions for specific features:

• Internet: Required for displaying ads, sending feedback, analytics services, loading Bible content, and updating leaderboard data.
• Access Network State: Used to check internet connectivity for ads, online features, and leaderboard synchronization.
• Notifications: Used to send daily Bible verse notifications and game updates (optional).
• Storage/Media Images: Used to access images from your gallery for profile pictures (optional).
• Read External Storage: Used to access images for profile customization (optional, for older devices).

d. Game Data & Progress

Your game progress and statistics include:

• Quiz scores and correct answer counts
• Level progression and completion status
• Virtual coins balance and transaction history
• Player rankings and achievements (including global leaderboard position)
• Game settings and preferences
• Daily login streaks and rewards
• Country selection for regional leaderboards

Most game data is stored locally on your device using Android's SharedPreferences. Leaderboard-specific data (username, coins, country, profile picture) is additionally stored in Firebase Firestore to enable global competition features.

2. How Data Is Used

Data is used for the following purposes:

• To Provide and Improve the Game: Usage data and crash reports help understand how the Game is played and identify areas for improvement.
• To Personalize Your Gaming Experience: Your game progress, statistics, and profile information are used to customize your gameplay experience.
• To Track Game Progress: Your quiz scores, levels, coins, and statistics are used to display your progress, rankings, and achievements.
• To Enable Global Leaderboards: Your username, coin total, country, and profile picture are used to rank you against other players worldwide and display your position on leaderboards.
• To Display Ads: Advertising partners use anonymized data to serve relevant ads and enable rewarded ad features for coin earnings.
• To Manage Virtual Economy: Your coin balance and transactions are tracked to maintain game balance and fairness.

  • Google Firebase Firestore: Leaderboard data (username, coins, country, profile picture) is stored and managed by Firebase Firestore. This data is visible to other players as part of the game's competitive features.
  • Google Firebase: Usage data and crash reports are processed by Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics.
  • Google AdMob: Anonymized data is processed by AdMob to deliver ads and enable rewarded video features for coin rewards.
  • Unity Ads: Anonymized data may be processed by Unity Ads for advertising purposes.
  • Vungle: Anonymized data may be processed by Vungle for advertising purposes.
  • Facebook Audience Network: Anonymized data may be processed by Facebook for advertising purposes.
• User-Initiated Sharing: If you share the game or your achievements via email, social media, or other apps, the shared content is transmitted through the selected third-party app.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

4. Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage: Most user-generated content, profile information, game progress, and coin balances are stored locally on your device using Android's SharedPreferences.
• Cloud Storage (Leaderboard): Leaderboard data (username, coins, country, profile picture, user ID, timestamps) is stored on Firebase Firestore servers. This data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
• Third-Party Storage: Analytics and crash data are processed by Firebase and stored on Google's servers. Ad-related data is processed by advertising partners.
• Profile Pictures: Converted to Base64 format and stored locally in SharedPreferences, and optionally in Firebase for leaderboard display.
• Coin Transactions: All coin earnings and spending are tracked locally on your device, with total coin balance synced to leaderboard.
• Security Measures: We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

5. Your Choices

• Permissions: You can deny or revoke permissions in your device settings.
• Notifications: You can enable or disable notifications in the Game's settings.
• Advertising: You can opt out of personalized ads by adjusting your device's Advertising ID settings.
• Leaderboard Participation: You can choose your username, country, and profile picture. To minimize visible information, use a nickname instead of your real name and set country to "Not Set".
• Data Deletion: Since most user data is stored locally, you can delete it by clearing the Game's data or uninstalling the Game. For leaderboard data deletion, contact us at the email below.
• Sound & Music: You can disable background music and sound effects in the Game's settings.
• Virtual Coins: Coins are part of the game mechanics and cannot be transferred or refunded.

6. Children's Privacy

The Game is suitable for users of all ages and contains family-friendly Bible content. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it. Parents should supervise children's participation in online leaderboards and guide them in choosing appropriate usernames.

7. Third-Party Services

The Game uses the following third-party services that may process data:

8. International Users

The Game is hosted and operated in the United States. If you use the Game from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the leaderboard feature, you consent to this transfer of your leaderboard data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and posting the new Privacy Policy in the Game. The current leaderboard features are covered under this version dated March 7, 2026.
